Yet another week has passed.
First of May is coming, and in Finland we call it by name 'Vappu'.
Basicly it means this:

In Finland, Walpurgis day (Vappu) is, along with New Year's Eve and Juhannus, the biggest carnival-style festival held in the streets of Finland's towns and cities. The celebration, which begins on the evening of April 30 and continues to May 1, typically centres on copious consumption of sparkling wine and other alcoholic beverages.

So the only part we need is the CARNIVAL-STYLE FESTIVAL.
It means crazy outfits and crazy makeup :D

I'm (unfortunately) not gonna give you anything supercrazy, but if you have some glitter floating around in your house, this is for you:

So here's the look:

I paired the look with almost nude lips:

And here's color placements:

1. Prime your eye with Eyeshadow Base .
2. Add Cognac Tryffle eyeshadow to your whole lid and to your lower lashline.
3. Blend Cognac Tryffle with Golden Sand eyeshadow.
4. Blend Golden Sand with White Gold eyeshadow, all the way up to the browbone.
5. Add hint of Black Beauty eyeshadow to your crease.
6. Line your upper lashline and waterline with Hot Chocolate Eye Stain .
7. Add Glitz Fix  to your lid on top of Cognac Tryffle, and then add preferred glitter on top of it.
8. Add mascara and possible false lashes, and you're done!

It's not just over, it's MAKEover!

Hi everyone!

I hope you all have had an awesome week!

In here the snow is almost completely melted away, and sun is shining almost everyday.
And here's what gonna be in this post:

Let's start with a tutorial for this:

Start with a natural eye. Use Eyeshadow Base to make the colors pop and keep the makeup still all day:

Add Montmarde  eyeshadow to whole lid:

Soften (and lighten) Montmarde with Ocean from inner corner and middle of the lid:

Then add Cognac Tryffle to crease:

Blend well upwards with French Chocolate eyeshadow:

Then add White Gold  to highlight:

And then deepen crease with Smokin Hot:

Then eyeliner. Use Hot Chocolate eye stain to lining:

To smoothen the look, add Cognac Tryffle on top of the liner:

Line outer half or your lower lashline with Hot Chocolate eye stain, and blend with Cognac Tryffle:

Add mascara, and the look is finished!

I also did makeup for 40+ person first time in my life :D

My sister came over, and she wanted me to do a little fresh up for her.

In her makeup I mostly consentrated on the brows and skin, and did only a really simple toned down smokey. She loved it ( she doesn't normally wear makeup at all) what do you think?

Elegantly mellow with yellow

Since the spring (and SUMMER \o/ ) is finally coming, I wanted to use yellow eyeshadow.
Using yellow doesn't automatically mean that makeup needs to be wild and punk, but it can also be elegant.
I toned the yellow a bit using browns in both lining and shading, and I paired the eyes with bold lips. I didn't want to go again with nude lips, instead I wanted to bring some 50's style with colorful lips and winged liner.

Here's a pic to show what shadow I used and where:

Model didn't feel herself comfortable with pink lips, so we changed them a little less dramatic before she left out of the door:

From Ashes to Lashes

Hello!

Today I'm gonna talk a bit about MSCHIC's mascara family.

At the moment there are three different mascaras:

 3D  - SkunkLash -  X Rated

 

So how is one different from another? 

First of all, they all are black. So no blues or browns, at least not at the moment.

Also they each have a bit different brush:

Third, every one works a bit differently. 

 No mascara:

So let's start with the fact that I basically have no lashes. I have really super light brows and lashes, so I definetely need a mascara that makes my lashes show up. 

 

Here is proof that I really don't have lashes:

So now I'm gonna show you what miracles different MSCHIC mascaras are going to do to my lashes.

X-rated

I have to admit that this is probably my least favourite, since I'm really used to using rubber (silicone?) mascara brushes. This has the "old school" type brush with bristles. The brush is also really big, so if you're used to smaller brushes, this might not be that good for you.

It extends my lashes, but in the same time it also seems to make them a bit chunky.
The texture is a bit watery, and I guess this works great if you have naturally long lashes that you want to enhance.

SkunkLash

This is a limited edition mascara from SkunkGirl collection, and it promises length, volume and curl.
It has a rubber brush and what's best, it doesn't only add color to your lashes, it also combs them..

Definetely more length and curl and volume. This also has a bit watery texture, so I don't like this as much as I like 3D.
It's still supercheap and supergood mascara.

3D

This one is definetely my personal favourite. I makes my lashes longer and fuller, without making them look "overdone".
I also like the brush, it's not too small or not too big, but just the right size. It also separates my lashes.
I think the textures is the most "driest" of these three, and it makes it the easiest for me to use.

Lashes look natural, long(er at least), fuller and much prettier than without mascara.
